## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

PILOT ATTEMPTED A TAKEOFF FROM A COUNTY ROAD WITH INADEQUATE WING TIP CLEARANCE. DURING TAKEOFF ROLL, LEFT WING TIP CONTACTED SHRUBBERY AND PULLED AIRCRAFT TO THE LEFT. AS THE AIRCRAFT EXITED CONTACT WITH THE SHRUBBERY, THE AIRCRAFT WAS FACING 90° LEFT OF THE DIRECTION OF THE AIRCRAFT MOTION. RIGHT WING TIP CONTACTED THE GROUND AND THE AIRCRAFT STOPPED.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB GAA15CA139](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/GAA15CA139), Jun 26, 2015: Randall W Grandpre CH-701 Zenith (N70WG), Quincy, WA, substantial damage. Probable cause: The pilot's inadequate selection of a take-off area, resulting in a collision with obstacles and a loss of directional control.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
