## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON JUNE 29, 2015, THE PILOT OF A CESSNA 170 LANDED HIS AIRCRAFT AT DURANGO, CO. AIRPORT AND TAXIED OFF THE RUNWAY. A CRJ-700 WAS HOLDING SHORT ON THE TAXIWAY IN FRONT OF THE CESSNA 170. THE PILOT OF THE CESSNA COULD NOT TAXI PAST THE CRJ SO HE RADIOED AND ASKED THE REGIONAL JET IF THEY COULD PULL FORWARD SO HE COULD GET PAST. THE CRJ 700 DID PULL FORWARD AND THE CESSNA PILOT TOLD THE CRJ CREW OVER THE RADIO THAT HE COULD NOW GET PAST. WHEN THE PILOT OF THE CESSNA STARTED TO TAXI PAST THE CRJ-700 PULLED ONTO THE RUNWAY AND THE CE170 WAS BLOWN OVER BY THE JET BLAST. THE CESSNA RECEIVED SUSTANTIAL DAMAGE ON BOTH WINGS, NOSE, AND PROPELLER.

PILOT HAD A CURRENT FLIGHT REVIEW AND MEDICAL AT THE TIME OF THE ACCIDENT.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB GAA15CA167](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/GAA15CA167), Jun 28, 2015: Cessna 170B (N170MW), Durango, CO, substantial damage. Probable cause: The pilot's decision to taxi behind a turbojet airplane into jet blast, which resulted in the airplane being blown off an active taxiway and flipped upside down onto terrain.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
