PILOT HAD JUST PURCHASED AIRCRAFT IN TENNESSEE AND WHILE ON FLIGHT TO HOME BASE IN CONNECTICUT  ON INITIAL LANDING PILOT HAD PROP STRIKE AND LANDED LONG LEAVING HARD SURFACE OF THE RUNWAY. INSPECTED AIRCRAFT AND DAMAGE ISOLATED TO PROPELLER AND ENGINE ONLY.
