DURING CLIMBOUT FROM RUNWAY 15 AT 3NP AIRCRAFT EXPERIEINCED A LOSS OF POWER DUE TO UNDETERMINED REASONS. PILOT TRIED TO RETURN TO AIRPORT BUT DUE TO ALTITUDE WHEN AIRCRAFT LOST POWER (APPROXIMATELY 250' AGL) PILOT MADE DECISION TO LAND IN HAY FIELD ADJACENT TO AIRPORT.
