## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

THE AIRCRAFT TAXIED FROM O'HARE TERMINAL 3 PASSENGER LOADING AREA. AS THE AIRCRAFT EXECUTED A TURN OUT, UNDER THE GUIDANCE OF A MARSHALLER, THE AIRCRAFT RIGHT ELEVATOR CONTACTED A STATIONARY BAGGAGE CART.

THE PILOT STATED THAT THEY NORMALLY HAVE 2 MARSHALLERS AND NORMALLY PARK THE AIRPLANE FACING THE TAXIWAY. ON THIS OCCASION, THE MARSHALLER DIRECTED THE PILOT TO PULL NOSE FIRST INTO THE PARKING SPOT. THE PILOT HAD ROOM TO TURN AROUND. HE ONLY HAD ONE MARSHALLER TO DIRECT HIM OUT OF THE PARKING SPOT.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
