## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

MISHAP PILOT (MP) OVER-ESTIMATED HER FUEL. WHILE VERY FAMILIAR OF HER FUEL GAUGES AND THEIR ACCURACY, MP DID NOT KNOW OF THE "UNUSABLE FUEL" FOR HER AIRCRAFT TYPE. CONSEQUENTLY, SHE OVERFLEW FUEL SITE TO SAVE TIME AND 'PRESS ON TO WASILLA AIRPORT.' AIRCRAFT RAN OUT OF FUEL NEAR 'PARADISE RANCH' WHERE MP SAW A PRIVATE LANDING STRIP. SHE WAS UNABLE TO COMPENSATE FOR AIRSPEED AND ALTITUDE AND OVERSHOT THE PRIVATE FIELD. SHE ABRUPTLY PULLED UP TO AVOID TREES AND THE AIRCRAFT STALLED AND CRASHED INTO GROVE OF WILLOW TREES. NO INJURIES.
