## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

PILOT'S STATEMENT:

ON SATURDAY AFTERNOON JULY 25, 2015, I TOOK OFF FROM THE TRENTON AIRPORT IN MY ULTRALIGHT BUCKEYE POWERED PARACHUTE. AFTER REACHING A HEIGHT OF ABOUT 25 FT. THE PARACHUTE DID NOT FEEL RIGHT, SO I LANDED BUT THE CART CONTINUED TO ROLL INTO THE BUSHES AND INTO A SMALL OAK TREE. I WAS THE ONLY ONE THAT RECEIVED MINOR INJURIES.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB ERA15CA307](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/ERA15CA307), Jul 25, 2015: Johnny F Anderson Buckeye Dream Machin (N371P), Trenton, SC, substantial damage. Probable cause: The non-certificated pilot's inadequate preflight inspection, which resulted in a loss of directional control during takeoff, and collision with trees during the subsequent rejected takeoff.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
