THE KING AIR, BE-90 WAS ENROUTE FROM DAYTON, OH (KDAY) TO SOMERSET, KY (KSME) IN CRUISE FLIGHT AT 12,000 FEET. THE RIGHT ENGINE FAILED AND THE PILOT DIVERTED TO THE GEORGETOWN-SCOTT COUNTY AIRPORT (27K). ADEQUATE POWER TO SUSTAIN FLIGHT WAS NOT AVAILABLE FROM THE LEFT ENGINE AND THE AIRCRAFT IMPACTED TERRAIN ON THE AIRPORT PROPERTY AT 27K .

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB ERA15LA293](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/ERA15LA293), Aug 2, 2015: Beech C90B (N257CQ), Georgetown, KY, substantial damage. Probable cause: Undetermined based on the available evidence.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
