## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

DURING TAKEOFF ROLL ON RUNWAY 02 AT HYR (HAYWARD, WI) AIRCRAFT DEPARTED OFF SIDE OF RUNWAY INTO A DRY MARSH AREA. AIRPORT WINDS WERE REPORTED 310 AT 7 KNOTS AND VARIABLE 290-360 DEGREES. PILOT REPORTED THAT AFTER TAIL WAS RAISED THE AIRCRAFT YAWED AND DEPARTED OFF SIDE OF RUNWAY. PILOT THEN REDUCED POWER IN ATTEMPT TO ABORT TAKEOFF. AS AIRCRAFT ENTERED TALL WEEDS AND RUTS IN DRY MARSH THE LEFT MAIN GEAR COLLAPSED.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
