## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON FRIDAY, AUGUST 21, 2015, A CESSNA P210N, N67EP WAS ON A VFR FLIGHT FROM MARIPOSA YOSEMITE AIRPORT (KMPI) TO FRESNO YOSEMITE INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT (KFAT), WHEN THE AIRCRAFT SUFFERED FROM ELECTRICAL FAILURE ENROUTE AND MADE A GEAR UP LANDING AT KFAT.

THE PILOT EXPLAINED THAT HE WAS FLYING TO KFAT TO GET MAINTENANCE PERFORMED ON THE AIRCRAFT AND HE HAD ONE PASSENGER ONBOARD. HE ALSO STATED THE DEPATURE FROM KMPI WAS UNEVENTFUL.

APPROXIMATELY 30 NAUTICAL MILES FROM KFAT, THE PILOT CALLED AIR TRAFFIC CONTROL (ATC) WHERE HE WAS ASSIGNED A TRANSPONDER CODE AND TO MAINTAIN 2500 FEET. FIVE MINUTES LATER THE PILOT OBSERVED LIGHTS FLICKERING IN THE COCKPIT AND A LOUD SQUELCH OVER THE RADIO.

THE PILOT NOTIFIED ATC WHO THEN ADVISED THE PILOT TO DESCEND TO TRAFFIC PATTERN ALTITUDE AND EXPECT LIGHT GUN SIGNALS FROM THE TOWER. AT THIS TIME THE PILOT STATED HE PUT THE LANDING GEAR LEVER IN THE DOWN POSITION AS A PRECAUTION.

WHEN HE WAS CLOSER TO KFAT THE PILOT STATED THAT HE DID HEAR INTERMITENT RADIO CALLS AND DID HEAR CLEAR TO LAND. HE DID NOT NOT HEAR ANY OTHER TRASMISSIONS AFTER THAT. ON BASE LEG HE STATED HE PUT THE FLAPS IN THE LANDING POSITION.

DURING TOUCHDOWN HE WAS SHOCKED TO HEAR THE SOUND OF THE AIRCRAFT SKIDDING DOWN THE RUNWAY AND WAS NOT EXPECTING TO HAVE THE LANDING GEAR RETRACTED.

THE AIRCRAFT WAS OBSERVED TO HAVE SKIDDED APPROXIMATELY 1500 FEET DOWN THE RUNWAY. THE AIRCRAFT WAS MET BY EMERGENCY VEHICLES FROM THE AIRPORT AFTER TOUCHDOWN.

Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
