## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

THE PILOT OF THE AIRCRAFT WAS A FLIGHT INSTRUCTOR CONDUCTING FLIGHT INSTRUCTION WITH A STUDENT. THE AIRCRAFT WAS CLIMBING OUT AFTER THEIR SECOND TOUCH-AND-GO WHEN IT BEGAN A STEEP DESCENDING TURN TO THE LEFT ENDING AFTER HITTING THE ROOF OF A HOUSE AND IMPACT WITH THE EARTH. BOTH OCCUPANTS DIED AS A RESULT OF THE ACCIDENT. INITIAL INVESTIGATION INDICATES THAT THE ENGINE WAS NOT RUNNING AT THE TIME OF IMPACT. THE NTSB HAD THE WRECKAGE TRANSPORTED TO A STORAGE FACILITY IN PHEONIX, AZ. ON JANUARY 14, 2016, NTSB ADVISED FAA IIC THAT THE ENGINE TEARDOWN WAS COMPLETED (IN NOVEMBER?) AND THAT THE LEFT MAGNETO COULD NOT BE FOUND. SHE STATED THAT RIGHT MAGNETO "HAS AN ISSUE," BUT ALSO STATED THAT, "OTHER THAN THAT, NOTHING WRONG WITH THE ENGINE." ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)
