## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON 09/18/2015, ^MR. KWASNIK^ DEPARTED FRYEBURG, ME. (IZG) IN HIS AVIA STROITEL GLIDER AND CLIMBED TO ALTITUDE. HE CIRCLED WHILE HE SEARCHED FOR A LIFTING UPDRAFT BUT THE AIR WAS VERY CALM AND STABLE, WITH VERY FEW UPDRAFTS. WHEN HE HAD LOST SIGNIFICANT ALTITUDE HE ATTEMPTED TO GLIDE BACK TO THE AIRPORT BUT FOUND HE WAS GETTING TOO LOW. HE COULDN'T MAKE THE AIRPORT SO HE ELECTED TO LAND IN WHAT APPEARED TO BE A SUITABLE FIELD. HE LANDED ON THE FIELD BUT HIT SOME RUTS DURING ROLLOUT. THE MAIN CENTER GEAR COLLAPSED AND THE GEAR DOORS, LOWER FUSELAGE AND TAIL SUSTAINED SOME MINOR DAMAGE. NO INJURIES.

Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
