## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

AIRCRAFT WAS LANDING AT SHELBYVILLE MUNICIPAL AIRPORT, TN (SYI) RWY 18. THE AIRPLANE STARTED TO PORPOISE WHEN IT TOUCHED DOWN. THE PILOT STATED SHE STARTED A TOUCH AND GO AND, DURING GO-AROUND, THE THROTTLE LEVER JAMMED. UPON INSPECTION OF RWY 18, THERE WERE 3 SEPARATE SETS OF PROP STRIKES ON THE RUNWAY, INDICATING THE AIRCRAFT PORPOISED TWICE AFTER INITIAL TOUCH DOWN. AFTER THE GO-AROUND, SHE SET UP FOR LANDING ON RWY 18 AGAIN. WITH THE THROTTLE STILL JAMMED, THE PILOT ATTEMPTED A HIGH-AIRSPEED LANDING. JUST BEFORE TOUCHDOWN, THE PILOT TURNED THE IGNITION SWITCH OFF. THE MAINS TOUCHED DOWN FIRST FOLLOWED BY THE NOSE GEAR. THE NOSE GEAR IMMEDIATELY COLLAPSED AND THE FRONT TIRE SEPARATED FROM THE AXLE. THE NOSE OF THE AIRCRAFT THEN IMPACTED THE GROUND WITH PROP STRIKES. THE AIRCRAFT SLID ON ITS NOSE ABOUT 600 FEET BEFORE COMING TO REST, LEFT OF CENTER LINE ON RWY 18.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
