## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

STUDENT PILOT CONDUCTING FIRST SOLO BALLOON FLIGHT. AIRMAN ELECTED TO LAND IN A FIELD NEAR A MAJOR HIGHWAY. AFTER TOUCHDOWN THE BALLOON'S ENVELOPE DEFLATED AND DRAPED OVER A SMALL 2 STRAND SERVICE POWER LINE LEADING TO A NEARBY HOME. THE PROSPER POLICE AND FIRE RESPONDED AND THE LOCAL POWER COMPANY DISPATCHED A CREW TO SHUTOFF THE POWER. A RECOVERY CREW USING A SMALL CRANE LIFTED THE ENVELOPE OFF OF THE POWER LINE AND POWER WAS RESTORED. NO DAMAGE TO THE BALLOON OR THE POWER LINE WAS SUSTAINED. NO INJURY.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
