## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

FDX582 EXPERIENCED A GREEN LASER ILLUMINATION EVENT ORIGINATING FROM THEIR 1 O'CLOCK POSITION WHILE ON APPROACH TO RWY30 AT KOAK. FOUR LASER EVENTS, APPROXIMATELY 4-5 SECONDS EACH RESULTED IN THE CREW EXPERIENCING TEARING, PRESSURE, AND BLIND SPOTS. THE CREW WAS TAKEN TO THE EMERGENCY ROOM FOR EYE EXAMS AND BOTH PILOTS SHOWED SOME IRRITATION IN THEIR EYES. THE DOCTOR RECOMMENDED THEY MONITOR THEMSELVES AND SEE AN EYE DOCTOR AT HOME IF THERE WAS ANY FURTHER DISCOMFORT.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
