## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

PILOT STATED THAT WHILE APPROACHING THE WILLIAMSON COUNTY REGIONAL AIRPORT (KMWA), HE WAS DISTRACTED BY A HELICOPTER OPERATING TO THE SAME RUNWAY. THE PILOT STATED THAT HE DID THE "GEAR DOWN BEFORE LANDING CHECKLIST", BUT NEVER CHECKED FOR A POSITIVE EXTENSION/LOCKED INDICATION. THE FIRST INDICATION THAT THE PILOT HAD THAT THE GEAR WAS NOT EXTENDED WAS THE IMPACT WITH THE RUNWAY. THE AIRCRAFT LANDED WITH THE GEAR RETRACTED ON RUNWAY 29. SUBSEQUENTLY THE PILOT SECURED AND EXITED THE AIRCRAFT.

FOLLOW-UP INVESTIGATION REVILED THAT BOTH LANDING GEAR AND WARNING HORN OPERATED NORMALLY.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
