THE PILOT STATES THAT WHEN HE ATTEMPTED TO LAND FROM APPROXIMATELY 40-60 FEET OF ALTITUDE, THE AIRCRAFT HIT THE GROUND RESULTING IN A HARD LANDING. THE AIRCRAFT SUSTAINED MAJOR DAMAGE
