## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON NOVEMBER 19, 2015, A DESIGNEE PILOT EXAMINER (DPE) WAS CONDUCTING A PILOT RE-TAKE FOR SINGLE ENGINE LAND. FLIGHT TRAINING WAS CONDUCTED IN A PIPER ARROW PA28R-200, N2925R. DURING A SIMULATED ENGINE OUT, BOTH PILOTS BECAME INVOLVED WITH THE MANEUVER, FAILED TO PERFORM THE LANDING CHECKLIST AND FORGOT TO PUT THE GEAR DOWN. AS THE AIRCRAFT TRANSITION FROM THE APPROACH SEGMENT TO THE FLARE THE PROPELLER STRUCK THE PAVEMENT AT WHICH TIME THE DPE PULLED BACK, APPLIED POWER, PERFORM A GO AROUND, EXTENDED GEAR, AND LANDED. THE AIRCRAFT TAXIED TO THE FIXED BASE OPERATION AND SHUT DOWN UPON INSPECTION OF THE AIRCRAFT THE PROPELLER BLADE TIPS HAD DAMAGE APPROXIMATELY 1 TO 2 INCHES BENT 90 DEGREES.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
