## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

PILOT FLYING AT 2000' HEARD LOUD NOISE FROM ENGINE, CONTACTED KEWN ATCT, LANDED AT CLOSEST AIRPORT (13NC). MECHANIC LOOKED AT ACFT ON 11/26/2015 AND FOUND #2 ENG CYLINDER HAD NO COMPRESSION. FURTHER INVESTIGATION REVEALED #2 CYL SPARK PLUG MISSING AND OTHER LOWER SPARK PLUGS AND LEADS WERE LOOSE. AIRCRAFT RECENTLY (11/19/2015) UNDERWENT AN ANNUAL INSPECTION. MECHANIC^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ HAD CLEANED, GAPPED, & TESTED SPARK PLUGS, AND COMPRESSION TEST WAS RECORDED AS NORMAL DURING ANNUAL INSPECTION. MACE CERTIFIED ENGINE TO BE AIRWORTHY IN MAINTENANCE LOGBOOK.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
