## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON DECEMBER 3, 2015 N6022U WAS ON FINAL AT COI, RUNWAY 11/29. THE AIRCRAFT NOSE GEAR WAS BROKEN NEAR THE WHEEL ASSEMBLY AND THERE WAS MINOR DAMAGE TO THE BELLY. NO FIREWALL DAMAGE OR PRIMARY STRUCTURE SHOWED SIGNS OF DAMAGE.

AS A PART OF THE POST INCIDENT INVESTIGATION, I SPOKE WITH THE PILOT, WHO INDICATED HE HAD A HARD LANDING AND SNAPPED THE NOSE GEAR. HE ALSO STATED HE WAS DISTRACTED BY THE OTHER TRAFFIC IN THE PATTERN LANDING BEHIND AND ATTEMPTED TO KEEP HIS SPEED UP.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
