## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON DECEMBER 12, 2015 AT APPROXIMATELY 2100 Z, N7675Q WAS ON A ROUTINE FLIGHT IN THE LOCAL AREA OF COBB COUNTY-MCCOLLUM FIELD (KRYY). THE AIRCRAFT WAS GIVEN CLEARANCE TO LAND ON RUNWAY 27 AND TOUCHED DOWN WITHIN 1000 FEET OF THE APPROACH END WITHOUT INCIDENT. AFTER TOUCHDOWN AND DURING ROLLOUT THE GEAR WARNING LIGHT AND HORN CYCLED OFF AND ON TWICE, FOLLOWED BY A COLLAPSING OF THE LEFT MAIN GEAR CAUSING THE AIRCRAFT TO SWERVE INTO THE GRASS. THE AIRCRAFT SUSTAINED SUBSTANTIAL DAMAGE WITH NO INJURIES REPORTED.

ON DECEMBER 15, 2015 AN INSPECTOR FROM THE ATLANTA FSDO WAS DISPATCHED TO CONDUCT AN INVESTIGATION AS TO THE CAUSE OF WHY THE LANDING GEAR COLLAPSED UPON LANDING. THE INITIAL ASSESSMENT OF THE AIRCRAFT REVEALED THAT THE LEFT MAIN LANDING GEAR COLLAPSED CAUSING SUBSTANTIAL DAMAGE TO THE LEFT WING AND LEFT HORIZONTAL STABILIZER. THERE WAS ALSO DAMAGE TO THE BOTTOM OF THE AIRCRAFT NEAR THE TAIL SECTION AND THE LEFT ELEVATOR AND AILERON WAS BENT. THE LEFT ENGINE PROP WAS DAMAGED AND THE TOP OF THE WING WAS RIPPLED THROUGHOUT. THE LEFT MAIN LANDING GEAR BELLCRANK HAD BROKEN OFF WHERE IT ATTACHES TO THE TRUSS ASSEMBLY. THIS COLLAPSE CAUSED THE LEFT WING AND HORIZONTAL STABILIZER TO STRIKE THE GROUND AS THE AIRCRAFT WAS TAXING AT A SPEED OF ABOUT 35 KNOTS.

A REVIEW OF THE MAINTENANCE RECORDS WAS CONDUCTED AND IT SHOWED NO PREVIOUS LANDING GEAR ISSUES OR CONCERNS DURING THE LAST ANNUAL INSPECTION. THE OWNER STATED THAT THE RIGGING WAS CHECKED DURING THE LAST ANNUAL AND WAS WITHIN TOLERANCE ACCORDING TO THE MANUFACTURER?S MAINTENANCE MANUAL. NO ADJUSTMENT WAS NEEDED AT THAT TIME.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
