## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

DURING TAXI OUT FROM PARKING SPOT 8 ON RAMP 6 AT SDF, WHILE FOLLOWING MARSHALERS DIRECTION, AIRCRAFT N902AR LEFT WINGLET STRUCK THE RIGHT WINGLET OF WESTERN GLOBAL B-747-400 (N356KD) PARKED IN SPOT 10 ON UPS RAMP 6. FLIGHT CREW STATED THAT THEY LOST SIGHT OF THE WING WALKER ON THE LEFT WING AND CONTINUED TO FOLLOW THE MARSHALERS INSTRUCTIONS. FLIGHT CREW WAS UNAWARE OF THE WINGTIP STRIKE UNTIL CONTACTED BY RAMP CONTROL AND ADVISED TO STOP AND SHUTDOWN ENGINES DUE TO COLLISION WITH ANOTHER AIRCRAFT.

## Other aircraft in the event

- N356KD, Boeing 747-446: no report for this aircraft; [N356KD](https://openairdocs.org/aircraft/N356KD) is registered now

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
