## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

N61SM DEPARTED GYY, ON CLIMB OUT PIC HEARD NOISE. PIC THOUGHT IT WAS RUBBER TRIM HITTING THE SIDE OF THE AIRCRAFT AND ENGINE WAS RUNNING SMOOTHLY. AT 6000 FEET AGL, THE NOISE BECAME LOUDER AND THE AIRCRAFT ENGINE STALLED. PIC DECLARED EMERGENCY AND LANDED AIRCRAFT AT KIGQ JUST OFF THE RUNWAY. MINOR DAMAGE WAS CAUSED TO THE LEFT WING, OUTBOARD LEADING EDGE. NO OTHER DAMAGE TO PERSONS OR PROPERTY ON THE GROUND AND NO POST CRASH FIRE.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
