## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

PILOT STATED HE WAS ON A NORMAL APPROACH TO BAY BRIDGE AIRPORT. THE AIRCRAFT LANDED 15 FEET BEFORE THE RUNWAY THRESHOLD AND THEN THE AIRCRAFT STARTED TO PORPOISE DOWN THE RUNWAY. IT SKID OFF INTO THE GRASS BETWEEN THE TAXIWAY, WENT OVER THE TAXI WAY AND STOPPED SHORTLY AFTER.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB GAA16CA092](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/GAA16CA092), Dec 28, 2015: Piper PA 46 (N9083U), Stevensville, MD, substantial damage. Probable cause: The pilots failure to maintain glide path, descent rate and landing flare, in off shore wind conditions, resulting in a hard landing short of the runway.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
