## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

AIRMAN ENTERED A LEFT DOWNWIND FOR RWY 27 @ KESF. ALL 3 WIND SOCKS INDICATED WIND FROM THE WEST. WIND REPORTS SHOWED WINDS 14G20 FROM 270-290 DEGREES. UPON TURNING FINAL FOR RWY 27, AIRMAN HELD A SLIGHT SIDE SLIP TO THE RIGHT. HE HELD RWY 27 CENTERLINE ATTEMPTING TO TOUCH FIRST ON RIGHT MAIN TIRE. HE ESTIMATED THREE FEET ABOVE THE RWY, A STRONG WIND GUST PUSHED THE AIRCRAFT DOWN EXTREMELY HARD. AT THAT POINT, THE RIGHT WING TIP CONTACTED RWY SURFACE AND AIRCRAFT HIT RWY EXTREMELY HARD. NOSE WHEEL SEPARATED FROM AIRCRAFT, FOLLOWED BY PROPELLER CONTACT WITH SURFACE. AIRCRAFT SLID TO A STOP IN MIDDLE OF RWY 27. AN IMMEDIATE SHUTDOWN ALL AIRCRAFT SYSTEMS WAS PERFORMED.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
