## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ WAS FLYING FROM FLAGSTAFF, AZ. TO WILEY POST AIRPORT ON JANUARY 30, 2016. ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ LANDED ON RUNWAY 17 LEFT AT ABOUT 2100 HOURS, STRONG AND GUSTY HEAD WINDS WERE PRESENT AT THE TIME. I TALKED TO ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ ON FEBRUARY 03, 2016. HE INFORMED ME THAT HE MISJUDGED THE TIME OF FLARE IN THE SEQUENCE OF EVENTS IN LANDING THE AIRCRAFT. RESULTING IN STRIKING THREE APPROACH LIGHTS WITH THE ENGINE PROP AND NOSE LANDING GEAR TIRE FAIRING.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
