## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

RPA (BRICKYARD) FLIGHT 4297 (SCHEDULED ORD-IAH) RECEIVED A REPORT FROM ATC THAT A DEPARTING AIRCRAFT OBSERVED DEAD GEESE ON THE RUNWAY DURING THEIR DEPARTURE. ATC INFORMED THE FLIGHT CREW THAT THEY HAD POSSIBLY EXPERIENCED A BIRD STRIKE ON TAKEOFF. THE FLIGHT CREW INITIATED A BRIEF CONSULTATION WITH REPUBLIC AIRLINES MAINTENANCE CONTROL AND DECIDED TO DIVERT THIS FLIGHT TO KANSAS CITY, MO (MCI) TO HAVE THE AIRCRAFT INSPECTED FOR DAMAGE.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
