## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON 2/11/2016 AT 1640 PST SOLO PILOT OPERATING A SOCATA TB21 DEPARTED APC FOR LANDING AT 069. PILOT PHONED 069 ATC BEFORE FLIGHT TO NOTIFY THEM THAT THE AIRCRAFT WAS HAVING RADIO PROBLEMS. ENROUTE TO 069, PILOT EXPERIENCED ERRATIC AIRCRAFT ENGINE INSTRUMENTS. AS A PRECAUTUION, PILOT LANDED AT 0Q9. AN A&P MECHANIC AT 0Q9 LOOKED AT THE AIRCRAFT BUT FOUND NO VISIBLE DISCREPANCIES. MECHANIC CHARGED LOW BATTERY AND RELEASED THE AIRCRAFT. NO MAINTENANCE RECORDS WERE MADE. PILOT CONTINUED TO ORIGINAL DESTINATION. AT 069, ON DOWNWIND TO RUNWAY 29, PILOT ATTEMPTED TO LOWER LANDING GEAR BUT HAD NO INDICATION IN THE COCKPIT THAT THE GEAR CAME DOWN. PILOT DEPLOYED EMERGENCY GEAR EXTENSION AND HEARD GEAR DROP AND LOCK DOWN. UPON TOUCHDOWN, WITH FULL WEIGHT ON WHEELS, THE NOSE LANDING GEAR COLLAPSED CAUSING SIGNIFICANT DAMAGE TO AIRCRAFT PROPELLER AND LOWER ENGINE COWLING. NO INJURIES REPORTED.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
