## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON MARCH 2, 2016 AT APPROXIMATELY 1145 CENTRAL TIME, A BEECHCRAFT BE-58 SERIES AIRCRAFT WAS INVOLVED IN AN AIRCRAFT INCIDENT THAT OCCURRED UPON LANDING AT THE HAYS REGIONAL AIRPORT (KHYS), HAYS, KANSAS. PURSUANT TO THE AIRMAN?S VERBAL STATEMENT, UPON TOUCHDOWN AND LANDING ROLL-OUT, THE AIRCRAFT BEGAN TO SHUDDER AND YAW SLIGHTLY TO THE RIGHT. THE AIRMAN STATED THAT THE AIRCRAFT WAS STOPPED ON THE RUNWAY TO CONDUCT A VISUAL INSPECTION. PER THE AIRMAN, THIS VISUAL INSPECTION REVEALED THAT THE RIGHT MAIN LANDING GEAR TIRE, WHEEL, BRAKE AND LOWER STRUT ASSEMBLY HAD ROTATED CLOCKWISE; THE BRAKE DISC ASSEMBLY HAD MADE CONTACT WITH THE UPPER SCISSOR LINK PREVENTING FURTHER CLOCKWISE ROTATION OF THE LANDING GEAR ASSEMBLY. THE AIRCRAFT SUSTAINED MINOR DAMAGE; THE AIRMAN, AND TWO ADDITIONAL PASSENGERS WERE UNINJURED. NO ADDITIONAL ANOMALIES WERE NOTED DURING THE POST-INCIDENT INSPECTION.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
