## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

WITNESS OBSERVED THE HELICOPTER FLYING LOW OVER WOODED AREA NEAR GALENA, MO WHEN IT APPEARED TO SPIN AROUND AND CRASH INTO THE TREES.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB CEN16LA135](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/CEN16LA135), Mar 25, 2016: Brantly B 2B (N2266U), Galena, MO, substantial damage. Probable cause: The pilot’s loss of control for reasons that could not be determined because postaccident examination did not reveal any anomalies that would have precluded normal operation.

## Other reports on N2266U (1)

Matched to the same aircraft by N-number and date.

- [Accident 19950308013849A](https://openairdocs.org/incident/19950308013849A), Mar 8, 1995: Hynes B2B (N2266U), Elk City, OK, Substantial damage. During hover taxi dragged a skid on ramp. Main rotors hit ramp. Helicopter rolled onto its side.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
