## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON 4/13/2016 AT APPROXIMATELY1345Z N4084K, A KIT FOX IV-1200, DEPARTED FROM RUNWAY3 OF CZG ON AN INSTRUCTIONAL FLIGHT WITH A CFI AND STUDENT^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^. SHORTLY AFTER TAKE OFF AND AT ABOUT 2/3 OF THE WAY DOWN THE RUNWAY AND AT APPROX.. 200-300 FT. THE ENGINE RPM DECREASED FROM 5300 RPM TO 3000 RPM AND WAS RUNNING ROUGH. THE CFI ASSUMED CONTROL OF THE AIRCRAFT AND ATTEMPTED TO RETURN TO LAND ON THE GRASS NEXT TO RUNWAY 3. THE AIRCRAFT LANDED HARD AND THE LANDING GEAR COLLAPSED. THE AIRCRAFT CAME TO REST UPRIGHT WITH THE LANDING GEAR FOLDED BENEATH IT. BOTH OCCUPANTS WERE UNINJURED AND ABLE TO EXIT THE AIRCRAFT.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
