As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON APRIL 20, 2016, AT OR AROUND 9:30 PM, ^MR. LESNIOWSKI^ WAS THE PILOT FLYING HIS SR-22. ^MR. LESNIOWSKI^ AND HIS WIFE WERE THE ONLY PERSONS IN THE AIRCRAFT. HE LANDED ON A GRASS STRIP ON HIS PROPERTY IN CHURCH HILL, MARYLAND. ^MR. LESNIOWSKI^ STATED THAT HE LANDED LONG AND FAST ON THE STRIP, WHICH WAS WET. ^MR. LESNIOWSKI^ WAS UNABLE TO STOP THE AIRCRAFT WHICH RAN OFF THE END OF THE GRASS STRIP ACROSS A ROAD AND INTO ANOTHER OPEN FIELD WHERE CAME TO A STOP. THIS WAS ^MR. LESNIOWSKI'S^ FIRST TIME LANDING THIS AIRCRAFT ON THIS STRIP AT NIGHT. THERE ARE NO LIGHTS ON THIS STRIP. THE LEFT MAIN GEAR HAD DAMAGE, THE PITOT TUBE WAS BROKEN OFF, THE LEFT FLAP HAD MINOR DAMAGE. THERE WERE NO INJURIES.

AFTER FURTHER EXAMINATION FROM THE REPAIR FACILITY, IT WAS DETERMINED THAT THERE IS MORE DAMAGE. THE LEFT MAIN LANDING GEAR PUNCTURED A HOLE IN AN UNREPAIRABLE SECTION OF THE WING CAUSING EXTENSIVE DAMAGE. ALSO, THERE IS DAMAGE TO THE PROP.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
