## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

PILOT OF CE-206G N9610Z WAS LANDING AT R&R AIR STRIP, AN UNREGISTERED STRIP LOCATED 1.4 MILES SOUTHWEST OF AK51. WITH SLIGHT CROSSWIND. ONCE THE AIRCRAFT DROPPED BELOW THE TREELINE, THE CROSSWIND FADED AND THE AIRCRAFT LANDED HARD, BOUNCED, THEN TOUCHED DOWN NOSE FIRST TEARING OFF THE NOSE GEAR AND SUBSEQUENTLY FLIPPING OVER.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB GAA16CA207](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/GAA16CA207), Apr 29, 2016: Cessna U206 (N9610Z), Port Alsworth, AK, substantial damage. Probable cause: The pilot's failure to maintain an appropriate descent rate during the landing flare in gusty crosswind conditions, which resulted in a hard landing, aerodynamic stall, impact with terrain, nose gear…

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
