## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON TAKE-OFF ROLL VIRGIN AMERICA FLIGHT VRD860 FROM DENVER TO SAN FRANCISCO IMPACTED A BIRD IN THE #2 ENGINE AT APPROXIMATELY 150 FEET AGL. THE #2 ENGINE VIBE WAS OBSERVED TO MOMENTARILY RISE TO 8.9 AND THEN RETURN TO 4.2 VIBES. NO OTHER ENGINE ABNORMAL PARAMETERS OR EXCEEDANCES WERE OBSERVED. THEY CONTINUED TO CLIMB-OUT TO 10K AND THEN RETURNED TO THE DEPARTURE AIRPORT. THE AIRCRAFT LANDED WITHOUT INCIDENT.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
