## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

DURING A PREFLIGHT INSPECTION DAMAGE WAS DISCOVERED ON SOME OF THE MAIN ROTOR BLADES ON N454JH.

THE PILOT NOTIFIED THE DIRECTOR OF MAINTENANCE, WHO INSPECTED THE MAIN ROTOR BLADES, AND CONFIRMED THAT THERE WAS REPAIRABLE DAMAGE TO 4 OUT OF THE 5 MAIN ROTOR BLADES PER MDHI CSP HMI-2 MAINTENANCE MANUAL.

THE HELICOPTER WAS TAKEN OUT OF SERVICE AND THE 4 DAMAGED MAIN ROTOR BLADES WERE REPLACED WITH SERVICEABLE MAIN ROTOR BLADES.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
