## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON TAKE-OFF ROLL THE AIRCRAFT SUSTAINED A VIBRATION FROM THE FRONT OF THE AIRCRAFT. THE INSTRUCTOR PULLED THE THROTTLES BACK TO IDLE AND RAISED THE NOSE OF THE AIRCRAFT TO LESSEN THE VIBRATION. AS HE DECREASED HIS SPEED HE LOWERED THE NOSE AND IT SETTLED ON THE GROUND WITHOUT THE NOSE WHEEL BEING ATTACHED. THE NOSE WHEEL TORQUE LINKS HAD SEPERATED AND THE NOSE STRUT CAME OUT OF THEW AIRCRAFT. SO WHEN THE AIRCRAFT SLOWED THERE WAS NO NOSE WHEEL TO SETTLE THE AIRCRAFT BACK ON TO THE GROUND. THE PILOTS STATEMENT STATED THAT THE NOSE TORQUE LINKS WERE COTTER PINNED AND SECURE ON PREFLIGHT.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
