## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

AFTER CLIMB OUT FROM OCEANSIDE AIRPORT WHILE FLYING THE ILS APPROACH BACK TO CARLSBAD CRQ THE PILOT EXPERIENCED ENGINE ROUGHNESS. THE ROUGHNESS WAS SEVERE ENOUGH TO DECLARE AN EMERGENCY. BEFORE THE CALL WAS MADE THE PILOT EXPERIENCED A COMPLETE LOSS OF ELECTRICAL POWER. UNABLE TO COMMUNICATE WITH ATC THEY CONTINUED

ON TO CARLSBAD CRQ THEN SPIRALED DOWN TO LOOSE ALTITUDE AND FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS FROM SIGNAL LIGHT. LANDED AT CARLSBAD CRQ WITHOUT INCIDENT AND WAS TOWED TO PARKING.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
