## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

DURING A NORMAL LANDING A KPWA THE NOSE GEAR STRUT COLLAPSED UPON TOUCHDOWN OF THE NOSE GEAR. PILOTS INDICATE THAT THERE WAS NO SIDE LOADING OF THE AIRCRAFT. THE NOSE STRUT-MOUNT BROKE IN THE AREA BETWEEN THE FILLET WELDS CONNECT THE GUSSET TUBES TO THE MAIN STRUT. THIS BREAK IS ADDRESSED IN SERVICE BULLETIN SB2X-32-22 ISSUED APRIL 12, 2016. UPON INSPECTION OF THE BREAK SIGNS OF PREVIOUS CRACKING WERE VISIBLE.

RECOMMEND A SERVICE DIFFICULTY REPORT BE ISSUED

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
