## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON JUNE 12 2016, ^MR. LUDLOW KING^ WAS FLYING HIS AIRCRAFT, A GCI GLOBE SWIFT, N80665, FROM KMMI TO KFDK. DURING THE FLIGHT HE DECIDED TO MAKE AN INTERMEDIATE STOP AT GRANT COUNTY AIRPORT (W99) IN PETERSBURG WV. IN THE PROCESS OF LANDING, HE FORGOT TO LOWER THE LANDING GEAR AND LANDED ON RUNWAY 13 IN A GEAR-UP CONFIGURATION. THE ENGINE'S PROPELLER STRUCK THE RUNWAY AT A HIGH RATE OF POWER IN THREE DISTINCT AREAS, AND THE AIRCRAFT EXITED RUNWAY 13 ON THE RIGHT HAND SIDE. IN SO DOING, ONE RUNWAY LIGHT WAS DESTROYED BEFORE THE AIRCRAFT CAME TO A STOP.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
