## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON 07/06/2016, THE OPERATOR OF N6681W RAN OFF THE DEPARTURE END OF RUNWAY 18 ON 28M (CRANLAND AIRPORT) INTO THE RUNOFF AREA ON THE LAWN. THERE WERE NO INJURIES TO THE PILOT AND NO OTHER SOULS ON BOARD. THE AIRCRAFT HAS DAMAGE TO THE NOSE WHEEL AND STRUT, LEFT LEADING EDGE OF THE WING AND MINOR SCRAPES TO THE BACKSIDE OF ONE PROPELLER BLADE. THE PILOT LANDED LONG AND ATTEMPTED A GO AROUND. THE PILOT THEN ADDED FULL POWER BUT STATED THAT THE ENGINE DID NOT RESPOND. AT THAT POINT HE DECIDED TO PUT THE AIRCRAFT ON THE RUNWAY DECREASED THE FLAP SETTING AND APPLIED FULL BRAKING ACTION. THE AIRCRAFT SKIDDED TO THE RIGHT (LEFT WING LEADING) AND EXITED THE RUNWAY INTO THE GRASS. THE INCIDENT OCCURRED APPROXIMATELY AROUND 16:45 EST. INSPECTOR MIHALEY WAS NOTIFIED BY THE AIRPORT MANAGER AND WAS THE FIRST PERSON ON SCENE.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
