## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

THIS AIRCRAFT IS OWNED BY SUNRISE AVIATION INC. AND WAS CONDUCTING PILOT TRAINING UNDER CFR PART 61.

ON 07/16/2016 STUDENT PILOT YASSER AHMED ALSHOTAIRY WAS ON APPROACH FOR LANDING INTO GNV, HE ENCOUNTERED A WIND COMING FROM THE RIGHT, BUT AT ABOUT 50 FEET FROM TOUCHDOWN THE WIND SHIFTED, NOW IT CAME FROM THE LEFT. WHEN HE FLARED HE WAS NOT ON THE RUNWAY CENTER LINE, AND THE NOSE WAS POINTING LEFT, WHICH CAUSED HIM TO BRIEFLY EXIT THE RUNWAY AND IMPACTING A RUNWAY EDGE LIGHT WITH THE LEFT TIRE.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
