## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON LANDING AT A REMOTE GRAVEL LANDING STRIP, THE AIRCRAFT SUSTAINED SUBSTANTIAL DAMAGE TO THE PROPELLER, LEFT WING, LEFT HORIZONTAL STABILIZER AND LEFT MAIN GEAR STRUT/AXLE.

AIRMAN STATED AFTER TOUCHDOWN HE FELT A SHUDDER IN THE RUDDER AND WHEN HE TRIED TO APPLY BRAKES HE HAD NO BRAKE PRESSURE. THEN HE SAW THE DETACHED LEFT MAIN WHEEL/TIRE ROLLING FORWARD OF THE AIRCRAFT.

FURTHER INSPECTION REVEALED 4 BOLTS HAD BROKEN OFF AT THE LEFT MAIN WHEEL AXLE WHICH CAUSED THE LEFT MAIN GEAR STRUT TO BREAK FREE AT THE LEFT STRUT GEAR BOX ATTACHMENT POINT.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)
