## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

THE PLANE IS A 1969 T210J WITH A TSIO-520-H ENGINE. REGISTRATION NUMBER

N2279R SERIAL NUMBER T210-0429. WEATHER WAS CLEAR, WIND 120 @ 10 KTS GUST

TO 16. NORMAL TAKEOFF. DROPPED GEAR AT MID-FIELD DOWNWIND, VISUALLY

CHECKED MAIN GEAR AND WAS DOWN. VISUALLY CHECK BOTH GREEN LIGHT AND HANDLE

WAS IN THE NEUTRAL POSITION. TURNED BASE. TURN TO FINAL WENT THROUGH GLUMPS

CHECK AGAIN. I HAD A GREEN LIGHT AND MAIN GEAR WERE VISIBLE. NORMAL

APPROACH SPEED. TOUCHDOWN MAIN GEAR. WHEN THE NOSE CAME DOWN THE NOSE

CONTINUED DOWN AND I REALIZED THAT THE NOSE GEAR WAS NOT LOCKED. I

PERFORMED IMMEDIATE ACTION, PULLED UP AND OPEN THE THROTTLE TO FULL. THIS

IS WHEN I HEARD THE PROPELLER TOUCH THE RUNWAY. WITH THE NOSE IN THE HIGH

POSITION I MANAGED TO GET THE PLANE BACK OFF THE GROUND WITH APPROXIMATELY

5000 FEET OF

RUNWAY LEFT, I ASKED THE CONTROLLER (TOM JORDAK) IF I HAD A NOSE GEAR. HE

CONFIRMED AND I SET THE

AIRPLANE BACK DOWN ON THE MAINS. I THEN LET THE AIRPLANE SETTLE ON THE NOSE

AS CAREFULLY AS POSSIBLE. THE NOSE GEAR HELD AND I TAXIED BACK TO THE

HANGER NOTIFYING THE TOWER THAT I HAD A PROP STRIKE. TOM AND I DISCUSSED

WHETHER HE SAW THE GEAR DOWN ON FINAL. HE VERIFIED THAT THERE WERE THREE

WHEELS DOWN ON MY APPROACH. ALL THIS CAN BE VERIFIED BY TOM JORDAK THE

CONTROLLER ON DUTY AND THE TAPES OF THE RADIO AND PHONE RECORDING.

NOTE: PILOT REPORTED THAT THE AIRCRAFT SUSTAINED NO OTHER DAMAGE.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
