## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

THE PILOT WAS LANDING AT SHD TO MEET AN EXAMINER FOR A CFI INITIAL CHECKRIDE. HE CONDUCTED SEVERAL PRACTICE LANDINGS BEFORE DECIDING TO MAKE A FULL STOP. ON THE LAST LANDING, HE WAS SO FOCUSED ON MAKING A BETTER APPROACH AND LANDING THAT HE FORGOT TO PUT THE GEAR DOWN AT THE NORMAL POINT. HE MISSED IT ON THE CHECKLIST AND WAS SO FOCUSED THAT HE DID NOT HEAR THE GEAR HORN. THE PILOT DID'NT REALIZE HE WAS LANDING GEAR UP UNTIL HE TOUCHED DOWN. HE SAID HE FELT LIKE SOMETHING WAS OFF THROUGHOUT THE APPROACH BECAUSE HE WAS CARRYING MORE SPEED THAN NORMAL.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
