## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

AT 1315 EST ON 8/14/16 AT TAMPA EXECUTIVE AIRPORT (KVDF), N1418T WAS BEING TAXIED IN FRONT OF HANGAR 1809 IN ORDER TO POSITION THE AIRCRAFT IN FRONT OF THE HANGAR AND ALIGN IT FOR PUSH BACK. THE NOSE GEAR SETTLED ON A DOWNWARD SLOPING DRAINAGE GRATE IN THE TAXI AREA, WHICH THEN CAUSED THE PROPELLER TO STRIKE ASPHALT SLOPING UPWARD FROM THE GRATE. THE ENGINE WAS IMMEDIATELY SHUT DOWN. PILOT AND PASSENGER DISEMBARKED THE AIRCRAFT WITH NO INJURIES. UPON INSPECTION BOTH PROPELLER TIPS WERE DAMAGED.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
