## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

DURING TAXI TO THE RAMP AREA AT CBF, THE PILOT ATTEMPTED A LEFT TURN TO THE NORMAL PARKING SPOT ON THE RAMP. THE LEFT BRAKE ON THE AIRCRAFT FAILED WHICH PREVENTED THE PILOT FROM COMPLETING THE TURN. THE PILOT COULD NOT PREVENT THE AIRCRAFT RIGHT WING TIP FUEL TANK FROM STRIKING A HEAVY STEEL POST ON THE FRONT OF THE TERMINAL BUILDING. THE TIP TANK RECEIVED CRUSH DAMAGE TO THE FORWARD END. POST INCIDENT INSPECTION OF THE AIRCRAFT DID NOT REVEAL ANY STRUCTURAL DAMAGE OR ANY EXTERNAL EVIDENCE OF BRAKE FLUID LEAKAGE. THE BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER HAD AN INTERNAL LEAK DUE TO A BAD ORING WHICH BYPASSED BRAKE FLUID INTERNALLY.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
