## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

WHILE PERFORMING A LANDING AT A REMOTE GRASS AIRSTRIP, THE AIRCRAFT EXPERIENCED A HARD LANDING THAT RIPPED THE EXTERNAL BELLY FUEL TANK FROM AIRCRAFT AND CAUSED SUBSTANTIAL DAMAGE TO AFT BOTTOM PORTION OF FUSELAGE SKIN, STRINGERS, AND BELL FRAMES.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB GAA16CA455](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/GAA16CA455), Aug 17, 2016: Cessna U206 (N8076Z), Sleetmute, AK, substantial damage. Probable cause: The pilot's exceedance of the critical angle of attack during the landing flare, which resulted in an aerodynamic stall and a hard landing.

## Other reports on N8076Z (1)

Matched to the same aircraft by N-number and date.

- [Accident 19930228004139A](https://openairdocs.org/incident/19930228004139A), Feb 28, 1993: Cessna U206A (N8076Z), Willow, AK, Substantial damage. Taxiing ski equipped aircraft on frozen snow covered lake. Crossed snowmobile tracks. Nose ski dug in. Collapsed gear

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
