## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

WHILE CONDUCTING PLANNING FOR AN OFF-AIRPORT LANDING AIRCRAFT ENCOUNTERED HIGHER TERRAIN AND COULD NOT CLIMB ABOVE THE RIDGE. PILOT ELECTED TO LAND LONG AND WITH BRAKING OVERTURNED CAUSING SUBSTANTIAL DAMAGE. PILOT SUSTAINED MINOR INJURIES. PILOT SUPPLIED EVIDENCE OF PROPER FLIGHT REVIEW AND AIRCRAFT MAINTENANCE INSPECTIONS. FACTORS REPORTED BY THE PILOT WERE OFF AIRPORT TERRAIN, DISTRACTION FROM OTHER CIRCLING AIRCRAFT AND HIGH DENSITY ALTITUDE(APPROXIMATELY 12,500 MSL) WHICH PREVENTED AIRCRAFT FROM OUT CLIMBING THE TERRAIN RESULTING WITH A CONTROLLED FLIGHT INTO THE GROUND.
