## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ATC RECEIVED REPORT OF AIRCRAFT STRIKING A BIRD ON A 5 MILE FINAL TO RUNWAY 34R, WITH POSSIBLE DENT UNDER RADOME.

COMPANY MAINTENANCE LOGBOOK ENTRY "BIRD STRIKE ON NOSE, RADOME, AND LH MAIN LANDING GEAR."

COMPANY ENGINEERING DOCUMENTATION RECORDS THREE (3) FUSELAGE DENTS, AND TWO DAMAGED AREAS ON RADOME. THE WEATHER RADAR ANTENNA WAS ALSO DAMAGED AND AT LEAST ONE FUSELAGE DENT WAS WITHIN THE RVSM CRITICAL AREA REQUIRING AN OPERATIONAL DOWNGRADE.

AIRCRAFT REPAIRED PER COMPANY ENGINEERING AUTHORIZATION WITH MANUFACTURER CONCURRENCE.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
