## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

INSTRUCTOR WAS IN THE TRAFFIC PATTERN AT XBP CONDUCTING TOUCH AND GO LANDINGS WITH STUDENT ON RUNWAY 36. THE WIND DIRECTION CHANGED REQUIRING A TRAFFIC PATTERN CHANGE TO RUNWAY 18. THE INSTRUCTOR RETRACTED THE LANDING GEAR TO INCREASE AIRSPEED AND MADE THE NECESSARY PATTERN CHANGE FOR AN APPROACH TO RUNWAY 18. STUDENT MADE THE APPROACH TO RUNWAY 18 AND FAILED TO LOWER THE LANDING GEAR. AIRCRAFT MADE A GEAR UP LANDING AND PARTIALLY SKIDDED OFF THE RUNWAY. AIRCRAFT SUSTAINED DAMAGED TO THE BELLY AND PROPELLER.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
